Weekend Recap!

I WISH!!! ;)

Happy Monday, friends!!

- Friday....Hubby and I had plans to go out for a nice dinner to celebrate his promotion and my raise but we had both been eating out all week and decided we would rather just stay home.  I made twice baked potato's and hubby steamed us 2 giant lobsters.  It was our first time making lobster at home and it was DELICIOUS!

Saturday....I made a new breakfast casserole recipe I found on Pinterest (recipe coming tomorrow!) , ran a few errands then planted myself on the couch and watched about 4 Lifetime movies. I had so many other things I needed to be doing but I can't remember the last time I just sat and watched TV or movies for more than an hour.  So, it was a much needed relaxing afternoon.
That night I took my Mom to dinner in Houston at one of my favorite restaurants, Benjy's (if you live in Houston and you have not been, you need to go ASAP...it is so good!) then we went to see The Lion King musical at the Hobby Center.  It was AMAZING!!! One of the best musicals I have seen and I highly recommend going and seeing it.  My Mom and I were supposed to be in Maine over the weekend (that was my birthday present to her) but the trip fell thru so to make up for it I thought dinner and a show would be fun!

Sunday...we spent most of the day laying around resting and watching movies before we headed to my FIL's house to meet his girlfriend and have dinner with them.  His GF lives in Vegas but was in town for a few days and she is a raw chef so she cooked us a raw (mostly) meal.  And I have to say, it was really yummy!  She had a couple appetizers, kabobs, kale salad w/ pomegranates, carrot soup and raw chocolate for dessert.  I talked to her a lot about her business and even got a couple recipes from her.

And that is about it!  It was a fun, relaxing weekend...hope yours was too!

Yum! Now I think I'm in need of some lobster. I love making it at home and getting a little messy with no one else watching!!! I love the kind of days where I can relax and watch tons of movies!
