4th of July Recap

Tuesday night-  Hubby and I packed a cooler with wine and headed to the lake to watch the fireworks from the boat.  We usually go with a big group of people and even have a house on the lake for a few days but with the 4th being right in the middle of the week this year that did not work out.  It was nice being just the 2 of us for a few hours though.  We stopped on the way and picked up Chick-Fil-A and headed to the boat.  We watched 2 big firework shows, drank wine and spent a couple hours relaxing!

Wednesday-  We spent the day with my family eating yummy food, playing with the kid-o's and swimming.  We had a bunch of appetizers, ribs, potato salad, green beans, pasta salad and my favorite- HOMEMADE PEACH ICE CREAM.  It is amazing.  The guys and the kids pretty much stayed in the pool most of the afternoon while all the ladies sat outside chatting.  Our friend Jon is in town for a couple weeks before he is deployed to Afghanistan so he stopped by for a bit too.  Such a fun day with family and friends celebrating our country's birthday and our freedom!

Hope y'all had a fun holiday too!
