Tagged Post- Facts & Questions About Me

Since I have been traveling the past 2 weeks I have done a terrible job at blogging. I just noticed I have 11 more followers than I did 2 weeks ago (YAY!!) so I thought I would join in on this fun tagged post that April from A. Liz Adventures ( http://alizadventures.blogspot.com/ ) posted on Friday. Feel free to join in and leave me a comment letting me know so I can see your post!

Here's how it goes:

* You must post the rules
* Post 11 Fun Facts about yourself
* Answer the 11 questions that the tagger posted for you & then create 11 questions to ask the people you've tagged
* Tag 11 people and link them in your post
* Let them know you tagged them

My 11 Fun Facts:

1. I have 4 parents, 1 half-brother, 1 half-sister and 4 step-sisters. I am very blessed and lucky to have close relationships with every single one of them, even though most of them are hundreds of miles away and I only see them a couple times a year.

2. I hate flying. I fly at least once a month but no matter how "used to it" I get, I still hate it. Every time there is turbulence or a strange noise I automatically think we are about to crash and the first thing I do is look to see if the flight attendants are freaking out. I actually take a small dosage of an anxiety medicine before every flight but I don't think it works very well. I also HAVE to sit by a window. It would give me a panic attack if I sat anywhere else.

3. I am going to be just like my Granny. I am tired and ready to go to bed by 7:00 every night. Waking up at 5 AM is easy for me but staying up until 9 is difficult most days.

4. I was a dance pedagogy major in college and exercise science minor but I never finished. After 2 1/2 years of barely passing my core classes I decided to drop out and that college was not for me. I studied Massage Therapy, Yoga & Pilates for a couple years after that and had a dream of opening my own "dance therapy" studio one day...a place for dancers to go for massage, therapy, yoga & pilates.

5. I worked in the car business for 6 years and got to meet a lot of celebs -Donald Trump, Nikki Hilton, Vanilla Ice, Matt Lauer and more. I even got to go to Donald Trump's son's wedding in Palm Beach. Those were the perks of working at the 2nd biggest BMW/Bently/Rolls Royce/Audi/Porsche dealership in the US.

6. I take vitamins religiously. And ONLY vegan, 100% natural vitamins. I could write a book with all the reasons you should take vegan/natural vitamins instead of those $5 ones you get at Walmart and Walgreens. I keep trying to get my husband to stop taking the chemical filled, One-A-Day chew's he takes every morning but I have not had much success. I have taken classes on vitamins, read books and read tons of articles so I have done my research...and all I can say is- TAKE VEGAN VITAMINS!!! Go to Whole Foods (or your local natural grocery store/website), pay a little more money and get some good, clean, healthy vitamins.

7. I have had the same 3 best friends for over 15 years. We all grew up together then moved away for college and now 3 of us are in the Houston area and one is in Oklahoma but we still talk weekly and see each other every chance we get. I love them :)

8. I can not sleep unless I am laying on my stomach, face down. I have no idea what I will do when I get pregnant one day!

9. As I mention frequently, my hubby and I LOVE to travel. We take mini, long weekend vacations all throughout the year. It is cheaper that way and we only have to take a day or 2 off work each time. Mexico is one of our favorite places to go and we usually go about once a year. A few trips we have coming up in the next 6 months- Carmel/Monterrey, CA, Louisville, KY for the Kentucky Derby (hopefully), Cancun and Napa/Sonoma, CA! We are trying to squeeze in as much as we can before we start adding to our little family one day!

10. Breakfast is my favorite meal. I could eat it 3 times a day, every day. I also have the world's biggest sweet tooth. I could eat chocolate cake 3 times a day too.

11. I plan on running a full-marathon...one day. I am about to run my 5th half-marathon but have not been properly training for it so I will probably walk a lot of it. After I finally decide to commit to the training and get a couple more half-marathon's under my belt I will run one and be able to check that off my bucket list. I want my first one to be the Marine Corps marathon in Washington DC. My brother is in the Marines and probably going to Afghanistan within the next year so I think this would be a really special one!

And 11 questions:

1. What is your profession? I am a Fleet & Logistics Specialist for a Environmental & Industrial Services company. Basically I manage about 3000 pieces of equipment for my company and I also work with the DOT group on audits and making sure our drivers & equipment are in compliance with state & federal laws.

2. How would you describe your style? Well, I mostly shop at LOFT, The Limited and Banana Republic. I love everything from black and very neutral colors to bright colors and prints. These days I do not wear heels much...I wear a lot of ballet flats, boots and flip flops in the Spring/Summer. And I pretty much live in maxi-dresses and sundresses when it is warm. I tend to go for simple clothes and dress it up with fun accessories.

3. What one make-up product can you not live without? Maybelline Stiletto Mascara and Too Faced Glamour Gloss in Pillow Talk.

4. If you could be besties with one celebrity, who would it be? I would have to agree with April...Reese Witherspoon. Carrie Underwood would be a close second.

5. What is your dream vacation? The Maldives, Bora Bora & Fiji. Also, the Greek Islands & Capri, Italy.

6. What magazines do you subscribe to? Nada. I do buy People, Self and Southern Living regularly though. It would probably save us some money if I would just get subsciptions to all of them though.

7. If you could have a special talent {that you don't currently have}, what would it be? To be able to cook really, really well. I can cook but I am not very creative and I have to have very detailed directions or else it will turn out a disaster. I wish I could cook like Pioneer Woman or Giada DeLaurentiis.

8. What is your favorite breakfast food? Breakfast Tacos & salsa. This is one thing Houston is known for...we have some awesome breakfast taco restaurants here!

9. If you could do anything, what is your dream job? I would love to be a personal organizer. I love to take messy rooms or spaces and go through everything and completely re-organize it all for someone. I am a little OCD and find cleaning and organizing to be relaxing. If I had a chance to go into a hoarder's home and take it over I would be really happy. I would also love to be a travel agent. Planning trips is a lot of fun for me. I love all the research that goes into planning a trip and love making itineraries & recommendations. If I could stay at home and do this, that would be AWESOME :)

10. What is your guilty pleasure? Celebrity gossip and way too much reality TV- The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Biggest Loser, DWTS, Real Housewives of BH & OC, Cupcake Wars, SYTYCD, Hoarders, Say Yes to the Dress and more. Thank goodness those are not all on every single week all year around!

11. What is the best piece of advice you've ever received, and who gave it to you?
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6 ( From The Bible :) )

Now it is your turn! Like April, I am not tagging anyone specifically but I would love to see your posts! Let me know with a comment if you play along!
