We celebrated Connor's 1st Fourth of July at The Woodlands Red, Hot and Blue Festival on the Waterway with family. We found a great spot on the grass, ate Grimaldi's Pizza and watched the fireworks. We were a little nervous about taking a 6 week old to see the fireworks but it didn't seem to bother him, thank goodness!! I was ready to cover up his ears or get out of there if he had a major breakdown but he did great. His little eyes got so big and he was just looking at me like "Mom, what is going on?!?" :)
Aww how awesome! We're from that area, but are living on assignment in the Middle East with our little one. When I saw the adverts for this festival, it made me homesick to not be able to introduce our baby to ths holiday this year.
