Book Club Friday- 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy

It's Book Club Friday! Go link up with Heather @ Blonde...Undercover Blonde and share what you are reading this week!

I finished reading the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy last night. I read all 3 books in one week if that tells you anything.

Here is a description from Amazon on book one:

"When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms. Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires. Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever."

My thoughts:   I LOVED these 3 books...I am slightly depressed that they are over. I first heard about them a few weeks ago on the Today show, then again on the morning radio talk shows, then again on E News, then several friends were reading them and so on and so on. These books are everywhere and it seems everyone is talking about them. I had to read them. I have a couple girlfriends at work reading them and they email me all the time telling me they can't put them down. Now, there are some really intense, kind of crazy scenes in these books...especially the first one. But once you read more and learn more about the characters and the reasons why some of these things are happening, you will be sucked in. I love the plot, love the characters and even loved all the juicy scenes (well, most of them...read it, you'll understand). The movie rights have even been sold...so that will be interesting! Not sure how they will make a movie out of these books but I am sure it will be good!
Happy Reading and Happy Friday, friends!

People either seem to love this series or they hate it. I believe that I would love it but there's just so many books I have on my list already! Also, the pic of you with your bridal bouquet is adorable!

I loved, loved, loved this series! I'm actually in the process of re-reading book 2 since it was my favorite! So much character growth throughout books 2 and 3! I'll admit, this book is a bit harsh at times as well as frustrating, but I LOVED it!

I'm a bit apprehensive about the movie, though. 1) who plays Ana & Christian could totally ruin the movie and 2) I've never been a fan of movies based off books to begin with, so we'll see!

I almost bought Fifty Shades of Grey last week, but talked myself out of it because it seemed a little intense and crazy, like you said. Maybe I'll give it a shot after all!

I've heard so much about these books, I really must get them. I've been holding off until the baby gets here to start them - I figure I'll need something to read during all those late night feedings. This sounds like a good choice!
